When native woodlands faded, so did biodiversity, self reliance, and the connection to traditions that have governed Ireland for millennia. At Celtic Fusion, we believe in reconnecting to ancient inspiration in more ways than just fashion influence. Five years ago, we made the decision to partner with reforestation charity, Hometree, to donate one native tree species for every clothing purchase.

The union of two people holds incredible significance across all cultures and faiths. The ceremonies practiced to honor this union change through the years, but the importance of the joining of hearts remains steadfast throughout history.

Samhain is one among many traditions worldwide that our ancestors left for us as a reminder that death need not be feared, but celebrated. By reconnecting to this festival, we walk hand and hand with our long since departed forefathers and take a look at our lives with the understanding that our ultimate destination is to walk alongside them - and to be at peace with that.

Samhain is the first of four significant fire festivals in the Celtic calendar and marks the midpoint between the Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice. The wheel of the year is separated into two seasons - the “light season” and the “dark season” with Samhain ushering in the dark as well as marking the start of a new year.
